Canopy Collections

Canopy Collections are delighted to present their fifth exhibition at Cromwell Place, For Nothing Is Simply One Thing. This new group show will bring together the work of international artists who celebrate, bend, and embrace traditional craft techniques.

From sculptural ceramics and glass pieces to richly textured paintings and works on paper, the artworks on display will call upon disciplines usually associated with craft practices to highlight the historical dialogue between fine art and the decorative arts.

Exhibiting artists will include William Cobbing, Penelope Clayden, Sam Herman, Benedikte Klüver, James William Murray, Dan Rees, Marianne Thoermer as well as the designer duo ‘Things From’ (Géraldine Boublil and Jessica Solnicki).

Canopy Collections

Woking closely with both emerging and established artists, Canopy Collections has developed a dynamic programme of exhibitions and events that celebrates the importance of living with art while promoting a dialogue between different generations of artists. They represent a growing roster of emerging artists including Richard J. Butler, Daniel MacCarthy, Ellie MacGarry, Paulina Michnowska and Salomé Wu. They have also exhibited the work of more established artists such as David Batchelor, Charlotte Beaudry, Bruno Ollé, Laure Prouvost and Dan Rees.

In parallel to its exhibition programme, Canopy Collections has become one of the most curated online platforms where they champion transparency and accessibility for a new audience of art collectors. Since 2020, they have collaborated with international institutions, galleries, brands and private collectors to curate remarkable exhibitions in various settings, including Modernity Stockholm, Bowman Sculpture, The Van Gogh House, The Invisible Collection and The Club—Parcours Saint-Germain amongst others.
