KAORIUM by SCENTMATIC is an entirely novel approach to fragrance exploration that decodes the enigmatic world of scents and helps people discover new fragrances intuitively through language. Harnessing state-of-the-art technology, our mission is to deliver olfactory moments of delight.
Consumers struggle both to understand what they like and how to communicate what they are looking for to sales personnel. KAORIUM aims to overcome these challenges. KAORIUM is not just a scent selection tool or a promotional gimmick, but an immersive experience that guides consumers through a sensory journey of smelling, reflection, and language to discover their own olfactory preferences. This creates a common ground for sales associates and consumers to effectively communicate.
Data gathered from a perfume store that has implemented KAORIUM shows that they have witnessed an impressive threefold increase in conversions and another brand has used the insights collected by KAORIUM to develop a new product.
However, KAORIUM's potential reaches beyond perfume retail to encompass significant social initiatives. We successfully collaborate with local governments and elementary schools across Japan to integrate scent into educational programs, resulting in increased creativity and self-expression among school children. Additionally, we are incorporating scent into medical clinics and are partnering with the University of Tokyo for scientific validation of KAORIUM’s unique experience.
