Asian Art in London

Asian Art in London Summer Showcase presents a Panel Discussion on Collecting Asian Art. Guests include Nicole Schoeni of Schoeni Projects, Daphne King of Alisan Fine Arts, Runjeet Singh, antique Indian arms & armour dealer, Benedict Carter, Head of Department for Islamic & Indian Art at Sotheby’s.

- Nicole Schoeni of Schoeni Projects is Asian Art in London’s newest Board member, specially selected to represent contemporary art – an ever-growing market within the Asian art world. With her vast experience dealing with Asian contemporary art collectors, Nicole will guide the conversation and bring insightful perspectives to the panel.

Joining Nicole on the panel are three esteemed experts who will share their knowledge and expertise from different realms of the Asian art world:

- Daphne King, owner of the distinguished Chinese contemporary gallery Alisan Fine Arts, based in Hong Kong, will provide valuable insights into collecting Chinese art from an East Asian perspective. Her expertise in the evolving trends within the Chinese contemporary art scene will offer a fascinating glimpse into this dynamic and thriving market.

- Runjeet Singh, a highly respected antique Indian arms and armour dealer, will bring his deep understanding of collecting historical artifacts to the discussion. Also a member of Asian Art in London's Board, Runjeet will offer a unique perspective on the diverse and evolving collectors of Indian arms and armour.

- Benedict Carter, the Head of Department for Islamic & Indian Art at Sotheby’s, will share his wealth of knowledge from an auction house perspective. Benedict travels extensively with Sotheby’s and gets to know collectors of Islamic & Indian Art from around the world. His expertise in auction collecting trends will provide valuable insights for those interested in acquiring and appreciating Islamic and Indian art.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the panellists, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of the current state of Asian art collecting.

Before and after the panel discussion, there will be a drinks reception, providing an excellent opportunity for attendees to network, socialize, and connect with other like-minded individuals passionate about Asian art.
