A solo exhibition of paintings, drawings, sculptures, etchings, and serigraphs by Indian artist, Seema Kohli.

Including hand-painted archival prints based on Kohli’s video and performance art. Each work has a narrative and insight into Kohli’s oeuvre, which is based on the theme of 'Shakti’ (divine energy). Through her works, Kohli brings to light the intricate connections of divine energies in our body and in the Universe.

 

Seema Kohli

Born on 23rd of September 1960, New Delhi, India, Seema Kohli currently lives and works in New Delhi. She has a B.A.(Hon) Philosophy from University of Delhi and a Diploma in Applied Arts (ITI), South Delhi Polytechnic, New Delhi. Between1995-2005 she worked and trained in Triveni Kala Sangam under the eminent artist Mr. Rameshwar Broota. She is also a recipient of a Gold Award at the Florence Biennale, 2009 for her performance video ‘Swayamsiddha’–Myth, Mind and Movement.

Her body of artworks are in collections with museums in India and abroad including Rubin Collection(USA),Museum of Sacred Arts (Brussels), Hotel Park Hyatt, Chennai, Leela Hotel (New Delhi), Ritz Carlton (Bangalore), Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation (Delhi).
